Carcharodontosaurus

About Carcharodontosaurus

This massive meat-eating dinosaur (Theropod) is one of the largest ever discovered. For many decades it was thought that Tyrannosaurus was the largest land predator to have walked the Earth. However, fossil discoveries in the early 2000s show that Carcharodontosaurus was even bigger. The name Carcharodontosaurus means "Shark-Toothed Reptile." Carcharodontosaurus had fearsome, large, sharply serrated teeth which it used to gash apart the flesh of its victims. Its head was about five feet long, making it big enough to swallow a full grown human in one bite.
