Chirostenotes

About Chirostenotes

This odd, medium-sized dinosaur was discovered in the Red Deer River region of Alberta, Canada, by Charles Gilmore in 1924. Its long slender toes and fingers, along with what is believed to be a bird-like beak make this dinosaur very similar to early birds. It is possible (though unlikely) that this dinosaur even had feathers. Chirostenotes probably lived right up until the mass extinction of the dinosaurs about 65 million years ago.
