Confuciusornis

About Confuciusornis

Confuciusornis was a beautiful bird that lived around 120 million years ago. Scientists believe that the birds probably evolved from dinosaurs. Confuciusornis still had many characteristics in common with dinosaurs, such as clawed hands. However, Confuciusornis was very much a bird. With a toothless, hard beak and no tail, Confuciusornis would have not been all that different from modern birds. Confuciusornis is one of the first known birds to have a wishbone.
