Gerrothorax

About Gerrothorax

Imagine a giant 3 foot long tad pole. The Gerrothorax would have looked a lot like what you are imagining. This strange animal began its life like many other amphibians, with its gills on the outside of its neck. However, unlike most other anphibians, the Gerrothorax did not lose these large external gills as it matured. Gerrothorax lived in ponds and streams, and fed on small animals.
