About
Pentaceratops
Pentaceratops currently holds the record for the largest skull of any land animal to have ever lived on Earth. Most of this massive skull makes up the long neck frill.
Pentaceratops was a very large horned dinosaur, who spent most of its life in search of food to satisfy its need of constant nourishment.
Pentaceratops had three true horns, and two false horns. These false horns were really just bumps, that were used to anchor its jaw muscles.
Like other horned dinosaurs known as ceratopsians, Pentaceratops had a parrot-like beak, which it used to cut through plant material. It is believed that Pentaceratops also had a row of teeth inside of its mouth.
