About
Mesosaurus
After millions of years, animals gradually evolved the skills and physical attributes needed to live on land. Eventually, some of these land animals moved back into the water.
The Mesosaurus is one such animal. In a similar manner as modern day sea lions have evolved from land animals, the Mesosaurus evolved from land reptiles, but lived its life exclusively in the water.
Mesosaurus was a small animal, only about three feet long, and very skinny. Its flipper like feet helped propel it through the ancient seas, and coastal regions.
