About
Procompsognathus
Procompsognathus lived about 220 million years ago, in the ancient deserts of the Late Triassic.
This small hunter used its quick agile body to chase insects and other small creatures such as grubs.
Procompsognathus had a long stiff tail that it used to balance itself as it moved about. The fossil record indicates that Procompsognathus'' tail was probably too stiff to swish back and forth.
