About
Monoclonius
Monoclonius was discovered by Edward Drinker Cope in 1876 in North America. This horned dinosaur had one large horn just above its nose, and also likely had two smaller down-turned horns near the top of its head frill.
Like other horned dinosaurs Monoclonius had a beak-like mouth. This mouth was filled with a single row of teeth.
Monoclonius spent its life foraging for food, and avoiding the large predators that roamed North America at this time period.
