About
Anchiceratops
Anchiceratops was named in 1914 by Barnum Brown. This medium size ceratopsian, or horned dinosaur, lived in North America around 72 million years ago.
It had a large neck frill that was topped by a series of nodes or small horns. Anchiceratops had two long eyebrow horns, and a small horn on its snout that probably pointed outward.
Like other horned dinosaurs, Anchiceratops had a parrot-like beak which it used to cut through plant material.
