Arrhinoceratops was discovered in Alberta, Canada, in 1923, and was named two years later by William Parks.

Arrhinoceratops means "Without Nose Horn." This name was given to Arrhinoceratops because when it was discovered a nose horn was not found. However, many scientists today believe that Arrhinoceratops did in fact possess a nose horn.

Arrhinoceratops lived alongside other horned dinosaurs in North America where it foraged for plant life to eat. Arrhinoceratops used its sharp parrot-like beak to cut through this plant material.
