About
Camarasaurus
This medium-sized sauropod lived around 150 million years ago. Many fossil specimens make Camarasaurus one of the most well known of all North American dinosaurs.
Camarasaurus had front and hind legs of equal length, making its back level with the ground. Camarasaurus' bones were filled with chambers of air, which is where it gets its name. These air chambers helped reduce its weight.
The skull of Camarasaurus was short compared to other sauropods.
