About
Eoalulavis
This ancient, tiny, sparrow size bird lived on the Earth around 115 million years ago. It was first discovered in 1996, and is important because it is the earliest known bird to contain an alula. Many modern birds also have alulae, which help them while flying. An alula is a patch of feathers and a claw at the end of each wing.
Eoalulavis spent its days scurrying from place to place looking for insects and plants to eat.
