About
Ornitholestes
This small predatory dinosaur lived around 150 million years ago. The name Ornitholestes means 'bird-robber.' It is thought that Ornitholestes raided the nests of early birds in search of a meal.
Ornitholestes was likely a swift runner and an excellent hunter. In addition to eggs, Ornitholestes probably ate small and medium-sized animals.
Ornitholestes had a unique ridge along the end of its snout which may have been used to attract a mate.
