About
Panoplosaurus
First discovered in 1917 by Lawrence Lambe in Alberta, Canada, Panoplosaurus is one of the best known of all armored dinosaurs. This is because of the completeness of fossils, including an almost completely intact skull.
This skull is so detailed that scientists actually use it to help model other armored dinosaurs where skulls have not been discovered.
Panoplosaurus was a large creature with many spines and horns protruding out of its armored body. Its skull shows evidence of cheek pouches that it would have used to store food it was slowly and constantly chewing.
