About Microceratops

Microceratops is the smallest known ceratops, or horned dinosaur. It lived around 70 million years ago in Asia. Microceratops was discovered in 1953 in Mongolia. Subsequently, additional fossils have been found in Mongolia and also in China. Microceratops was both small and lightly built. This probably made Microceratops very agile and fast. Microceratops' back legs were longer than its front legs, allowing it to balance and hop on the hind legs when needed. Microceratops did not have any horns, but it did have the obvious head frill so common with horned dinosaurs.
